納阿曼的故事中一個有趣的細節是，這位強大軍長的康復始於他的僕人。正是他們給予他重要且決定性的建議。他們，而非當權者，能夠洞悉上主的計劃，並引導納阿曼走向信心和順服的路。  

為什麼呢？或許，當一個人幾乎沒有物質成長的機會時，他更容易尋求永恆的事物，親近上主，從而獲得智慧。

四旬期的意義就在於此。  

An interesting point in the story of Naaman is the fact that the healing of this powerful general starts from his servants. It is they who give him important and decisive suggestions. They, not those in power, are able to see the plan of God and suggest faith and obedience.

Why? Perhaps, when somebody has few or no possibilities of material increase, he can mora easily search for things that remain forever and get close to God, thus obtaining wisdom.

The season of Lent is about this.
