先知歐瑟亞記載了百姓的決心。他們決定要歸向天主，並且篤定天主必會應允。

然而，先知卻以天主的名義回應他們。他斥責他們的一廂情願：他們的決定如同清晨的露水，轉瞬即逝。

此外，他們還以為天主喜愛物質的供奉，並以此為樂。

然而，天主喜愛的是每日更新、持之以恆對他忠誠。

祂喜愛的是內心深處不斷學習祂道路的決心。

The prophet Hosea reports a decision of the people. They want to return to God. They are mathematically sure about his positive answer.

Then, the prophet answers, in the name of God. He reproaches their wishful thinking: their decisions are unstable like the morning dew that in no time disappears. Besides, they think that God likes material offerings and is satisfied by them.

Instead, God likes a steadfast effort, renewed every day, to be faithful to him. He likes the inner commitment to continually learn His ways.
