「求袮聆聽，求袮寬恕！」國王禱文的最後幾句話，表達了上主臨在於聖殿的最深層意義（聖殿的奉獻儀式在七月舉行，七月也是贖罪日之月）。歸根究底，我們最終所能做的，唯就是犯罪。除了犯罪之外，我們自身別無他能。我們唯一能做的，就是破壞上主與我們的關係。

上主的寬恕重建了這段充滿愛的關係。每一次祂寬恕我們，祂都為我們創造了全新的宇宙，新天新地。聖殿正是這一切發生的地點。

對我們而言，進入聖會祈禱就是享受這一份重造我們的天主愛。

“Please, listen and forgive!” The last words of the prayer of the king express the deepest meaning of God’s presence in the Temple (the dedication is on the Seventh month, the month of the Day of Expiation). In the end, to sin is what we are ultimately able to do. Out of ourselves, besides sinning, we cannot do anything else. We are just able to break God’s relationship with us.

God’s forgiveness re-creates such loving relationship. Every time He forgives us, He creates for us a new Heaven and a new Earth. The Temple is the place where this takes place.

For us, visiting a church is a way to enjoy such new creation of ourselves.
