撒慕爾和達味都不知道事情最終會如何發展。然而，正是透過他們的順服，天主成就了他奇妙的計劃。

In the same way as from the beginning on, Samel is the obedient child: whatever the Lord asks him to do, he does. If something is not clear, he asks and the Lord answers. He has some feelings (“Saul will kill me; this handsome young guy is certainly the new king”), but he follows the indications of the Lord.

Neither Samuel nor David know clearly how things will develop. However, through their obedience God fulfils his marvelous plan.
