他們特別喜愛一種特殊的神恩：說神秘的語言，彷彿進入了一種恍惚的狀態。他們認為這種能力是與神緊密結合的標誌。

保祿並沒有否認這份特殊恩賜的美好，而是回到他的核心觀點：一切都應當為了建立教會而努力。

因此，他向格林多教會指明了真正的道路－愛。他闡述了兩點。

第一，只有透過愛，我們才能真正與天主結合，認識天主。

所有其他的恩賜，即使是最奇妙的，若沒有愛，也如同沒有光，色彩便毫無意義。

第二，最終，唯有愛永存，因為所有其他認識神的方式都屬於當下有限的存在，而愛是永恆的。

In Chapters 12 to 14, Paul gives instructions to the Corinthian Community about the theme of charisms.

They were fond of a particular charism: speaking in mysterious languages, as if in a kind of trance. They considered that ability as a sign of an intense union with God.

Without denying the beauty of that special gift, Paul returns to his key point: everything should work in order to build up the community. Therefore, he shows the Corinthians the real road, love. He states two points.

First, only through love we have the real union and knowledge of God. All other gifts, even the most marvelous ones, are as nothing without love, as colors are nothing without light.

Second, in the end, only love will remain, because all other ways of knowing God belong to the present limited existence, whereas love is eternal.
