今天的經文講述的是耶肋米亞使命的開端，那時上主呼召他作先知。

天主早已宣告，耶肋米亞將孤單一人對抗全體百姓。他的任務艱鉅，甚至瀕臨絕望。

的確，耶肋米亞與梅瑟截然相反：梅瑟帶領百姓出埃及，進入應許之地；而耶肋米亞卻像囚犯一般，被迫跟隨那些拒絕事奉以色列上主後逃往埃及的猶太人。 

然而，上主與這位先知同在。

祂要拯救他嗎？祂要拯救他脫離怎樣的危險？

耶肋米亞的得救在於他與主的合一。這份合一永存，無論遭受何種迫害，最後被擄到埃及，都無法動搖他的信念。

Today’s text belongs to the beginnings of Jeremiah’s mission, when God calls him to be his prophet.

God already announces that Jeremiah will be alone against the whole people. His task will be difficult; he will go to the verge of despair.

Indeed, Jeremiah appears as the opposite of Moses: Moses led the people out of Egypt into the promised land; Jeremiah will be compelled like a prisoner to follow the group of Jews that fled to Egypt after refusing to serve the God of Israel.

However, God is with the prophet. To save him? From which danger?

Jereimah’s salvation is his unity with the Lord. That unity remains forever, any persecution and finally the exile to Egypt notwithstanding.
