August 26 Ordinary time Week 21 Wednesday First Reading

Possibly, Paul wrote the Second Letter to the Thessalonian to address a specific problem of that community: some disciples, perhaps, were too eager to see the second coming of Jesus; therefore, they did not live in an orderly way.

Paul encourages them to enjoy, to learn how to enjoy eternal life in the simple and perhaps monotonous flow of time, with its daily duties, in a special way the duty of working.

Paul’s message is important for us all. We too need to find the infinite of God’s presence in the simple life we all have.

In one word: we need to learn how to live the life of the Holy Family.
