What we read today is only a part of the second chapter of the Second Letter to the Thessalonians. It would be useful to read the whole chapter.

However, from Paul’s words, together with the believers of Thessalonica, we too receive encouragement.

We are already inside the new world that Jesus has inaugurated with his passion, death and resurrection.

We need to enjoy the new and eternal life, which is already ours.

Next, Paul encourages us to be faithful to the tradition we have received.

This is important, because new groups are formed everywhere; they claim to possess new ways to obtain salvation.

Let us ask them: Do you have the seven Sacraments? If not, how can your body be united with the body of Jesus, the only place where salvation is?
