他所傳講天主神諭的兄弟們視他為仇敵，這對耶肋米先知亞而言是莫大的痛苦。

這往往也是我們許多人的遭遇。

朋友的背叛，如同耶穌所經歷的，是我們最深切的痛苦。

因此，這位先知尋求公義，祈求上主懲罰他的仇敵。

他甚至提前讚美上主，感謝祂聽了他的禱告。

在新約中，耶穌要求我們更進一步：為迫害我們的人禱告。衡量是非對錯的標準不再是我們自己，而是耶穌，祂無條件的愛。

這愛的尺度見證了祂的恩典，並戰勝了一切迫害，因為戰勝了迫害者。

To be treated as enemy by his brothers, the ones for whom he was delivering God’s oracles was for Jeremiah the greatest suffering. This is often the case for many of us. The betrayal of friends is for us, as it was for Jesus, the deepest suffering.

Therefore, the prophet seeks justice and asks God to punish his enemies. He even praises God in advance, for having listened to his prayer.

In the New Testament, Jesus asks us a further step: to pray for those who persecute us. Not we anymore are the measure of what is right and what is wrong, but Jesus, his unconditioned love.

This is the measure of love that gives witness to His grace and overcomes all persecutions, by conquering the persecutors.
