May 04 Fifth Week of Easter Monday First Reading

As many know, to lead around bulls is not an easy thing to do… The city was really pious and moved by the healing of the crippled man. Paul’s talk to people of a different culture and religion relies on Israel’s faith in God as the creator of heaven and earth.

Is there any reason for such a faith?

Paul answer by pointing to the gifts He continually bestows on all through the seasons and the fruits of the fields.

Is this a convincing reason?

Indeed, such explanation follows the miracle, therefore should be acceptable. When Elijah did practically the same at Mount Carmel, people acclaimed the God of Elijah as the true God instead of Baal.

Paul would continue and say, as he will do in Athens: After giving you so many gifts, God sent to us Jesus as our Savior.
