在闡述了恩典福音的根基之後，保祿轉向迦拉達人，告訴他們他們是誰，他們的身份是什麼。

既然天主藉著應許將依撒格賜給亞巴郎，迦拉達的信徒也可以認同依撒格，因為他們也領受了聖神的應許。

他們的母親是天上的耶路撒冷。

這是一個令人驚訝的觀點：這天上的耶路撒冷是誰？既然耶穌在天上，我們可以得出結論：耶穌連同祂奧祕的身體，就是孕育應許之子的母親。

這一事實賦予我們一種神秘的狀態：我們身處地上，但同時我們也是因著天主的恩典從天上而生的。

因此，我們享有與天主直接接觸的自由。

這是我們莫大的恩典，我們不應在生命的每一刻選擇天主以外的任何事物，從而浪費這恩典。   

After explaining the foundations of the Gospel of Grace, Paul now turns to the Galatians and tells them who they are, their identity.

Since God gave Isaac to Abraham through the promise, the Galatian believers too can identify themselves with Isaac, since they too have obtained the promise of the Holy Spirit.

Their mother is the heavenly Jerusalem. A surprising idea: who is this heavenly Jerusalem? Since Jesus is in heaven, we can conclude that Jesus, together with his mystical body, is the mother that generates the sons of the promise.

This fact gives us a mysterious state: we are on the earth, but at the same time we are generated by God’s grace from heaven.

Therefore, we enjoy the freedom of being in direct contact with God. This is our great grace, not to be squandered by choosing anything else than God, in every moment of our lives.
