先知宣告了上主的一項偉大作為。

祂將召集萬民到耶路撒冷聖殿，赴一場盛大的筵席。

先知歡欣雀躍的原因有二：上主將永遠消除死亡；屆時，萬民都將享受祂的同在，並親眼見證他們的盼望成真。　

我們需要這些話語：藉此，我們記起自己的歸屬，繼續事奉主，並仰望祂，不僅為了我們自己而已，也為了我們所有的弟兄姊妹。   

Scholars think that the text we read today belongs to a time later than the times of the return from the exile.

The prophet announces a great action of God.

He will gather all the peoples in the temple of Jerusalem for a marvelous feast.

There are two reasons for the exultation of the prophet: God will eliminate death forever; then, all peoples will enjoy His presence and see that their hope was true.

We need these words: through them, we remember where we belong and continue to serve the Lord and hope in Him, not only for ourselves, but also for all our brothers and sisters.
