「以前我只聽見了有關你的事，現今我親眼見了你。為此，我收回我所說過的話。」

問題：約伯何時看見天主了？天主隱藏在風暴之中。他只能聽到天主無數的提問，卻無言以對。

這正是約伯屬靈經驗的核心所在。

約伯何時耳聞天主？當他以自身的認知認識天主，接受他所遵循的傳統對天主的描述。

這是一種間接的認知，是天主向祂啟示自己的起點。

約伯看見了天主——此前無人見過祂——當天主以祂自己的方式與他交流，當祂以深不可測的臨在充滿約伯，超越肉眼所見時。

只有一種經驗能預備好迎接這樣的奇蹟：苦難。

“I knew you then only by earsay; but now, having seen you with my own eyes, I retract all I have said.”

Question: when did Job see God? God was hidden in the middle of the storm. He only heard God’s innumerable questions, to which he had no answer.

Here lies the core of Job’s spiritual experience.

When does Job know God by earsay? When he knows Him by his own knowledge, when he accepts what his tradition says about God. That is an indirect knowledge, a starting point which God will use to reveal himself.

Jobe sees God – nobody ever saw God – when God speaks to him in His own way, when He fills Job with His unfathomable presence, that goes far beyond the sight of the eyes.

There is only one experience that prepares for such a miracle: suffering.
