At the end of his book, the prophet Micah has words of consolation and of hope in God’s mercy.

God will forgive, he will even forget the sins of his people. He will create a new Exodus for them.

The reason for such great mercy is not human repentance, rather, it is God’s desire to show his glory.

Such meditation on God’s love prompts our desire, in turn, to adhere him. There is no other in whom we can have such great hope.
