福音書中關於聖若瑟的記載並不多。

我們知道他盡心盡力保護瑪利亞和耶穌。我們想像聖家在納匝肋的生活，他辛勤的付出，以及在耶穌和瑪利亞的陪伴下，他聖潔的離世。

《羅馬書》的經文告訴我們，若瑟與我們之間存在著一種深刻的聯繫，透過這種聯繫，我們甚至可以感受到彼此的內在相連，因此若瑟所領受的恩典也屬於我們。

這聯繫就是是對主的信仰，對祂的許諾和啟示的信仰。雖然我們生活在救恩史的不同階段中，但同樣的行動，源自於聖神，使我們處於同一合一之中。

今天，我們因聖若瑟的恩寵和榮耀而歡欣鼓舞，並感受到他，連同主賜給他的一切，都屬於我們，而我們共同屬於耶穌和天主。

The Gospels do not say much about Joseph.

We know of his vigilant attitude in protecting Mary and Jesus. We imagine the life of the Holy Family at Nazareth, his hard work and his holy death, assisted by Jesus and Mary.

The reading from the Letter to the Romans suggests us that a deep link exists between him and us, a link through which we may even feel that we are inner to each other, so that the grace Joseph received are also ours.

It is the link of faith in the Lord, in his promise and revelation. Although we live in different moments of the history of salvation, the same act, born of the Holy Spirit, places us in the same unity. Today we rejoice in the grace and glory of Saint Joseph and feel that he, with everything the Lord gave him, belong to us and we together belong to Jesus and to God.
