達味回應上主話語的方式值得我們學習和效法。

他滿懷感恩，祈求上主重申祂的承諾，並賜福他的國度。

達味將天主的話視為盟約，是他盼望的堅實根基。

我們每天領受耶穌，視之為天父的恩賜。我們應當心存感恩，並確信主正在履行祂對我們的承諾，即便有時我們看得不清楚。

David answers to the words of the Lord in a way that we should learn and imitate.

He is full of gratitude, he asks the Lord to confirm his promise and to bless his kingdom.

David understands the words of God as a covenant, the solid foundation of his hope.

We too receive everyday Jesus as the gift of the Father in Heaven. We need to be thankful and assured that the Lord is fulfilling his promise to us, even if sometimes we do not see clearly.
