當我們思考上主對達味的應許時，我們不禁讚歎祂賜給祂所揀選之人的恩典。在以色列傳統中，只有先知才能親自給君王傅油，沒有王朝的原則。然而，與此傳統截然相反，上主揀選了達味的後裔作為王位繼承人。

今天，我們從中領悟到，當我們慷慨地對待上主的時候，祂會賜給我們遠超我們想像的恩典。我們為此充滿驚奇和感恩。

When we consider the promise God makes to David, we praise the gift He bestows on his chosen one. Traditionally, in Israel only prophets anointed kings, on a personal basis. There was no dynastic principle. Contrary to such tradition, God chooses a son of David as heir to the throne.

For our life, today, we learn that when we are generous towards the Lord, He gives us graces much greater than we can imagine. We are filled with wonder and gratitude.
