知曉本身就是一種佔有，同時也是一種距離。

如果厄里叟知曉厄里亞的精神已經進入了他，他便無法真正擁有厄里亞的精神。

By asking two thirds of the spirit of Elijia (the part of inheritance of the firstborn) Elisha does a smart thing. He asks for the most important gift, the presence of his master in his own life.

How does Elisha receive the spirit of Elijia, since it looks like he did not see his master anymore?

Perhaps the answer is in the question Elisha raises: “Where is the God of Elijiah?” In his heart there is this incertitude, but he nevertheless does the same things as Elijiah, and the sons of the prophets see that indeed the spirit of Elijiah has passed into Elisha.

When you do not know, you “are”; if you know, then you are outside what you think you have. The act of knowing establishes a possession that at the same time is a distance. If Elisha had known that the spirit of Elijia had indeed entered him, he would not really have had his spirit.
