In the same way as yesterday’s first reading, today too, in the Letter of Saint Jude we read a rich list of short exhortations.
(We should find some time to read the whole letter, because it is very short, just one chapter.)
St. Jude suggests which attitudes we should keep in front of different people. It strikes us his admonition of staying away from some people, while still having an attitude of mercy, however accompanied by fear.
We should have the humility of acknowledging that sometimes we do not have the grace of helping some people. We can pray for them, entrust them to competent advisors, but also to defend ourselves against the dangers that their presence can cause to our souls.
