初期教會面臨跨文化和傳統的問題。

這是一個非常值得我們探討的議題。

我們首先需要回答一個問題：究竟誰拯救我？是我的文化還是耶穌？

保祿起初迫害教會，因為他認為福音正在摧毀猶太傳統。

後來，耶穌親自教導他，福音正在拯救所有人，使他們一個接一個地脫離那不可戰勝的敵人－死亡，死亡會摧毀一切文化。

然而，耶穌是猶太人。耶穌的哪一部分拯救了我們？是他的傳統嗎？

保祿發現，耶穌拯救我們的是祂的愛，祂內在的選擇，祂的行動，祂的心…

因著祂愛的行動，我們在祂身上所發現的一切顯現最深的意義。祂的一切都成了賜給我們的禮物。

我們對祂的愛反映了祂的行動：我們的一切都成了獻給祂的禮物，包括我們的傳統和文化。因此，我們將我們的整個生命獻給他，作為我們對他給我們的禮物的微薄回應。

The first Church faces the issue of interculturality and of tradition. It is a very interesting topic for us to explore.

We first need to answer a question? Who is my Saviour? My culture or Jesus?

Paul at the beginning persecuted the Church because he thought that the gospel was destroying the Jewish tradition.

Then Jesus himself taught him that the gospel was saving all, one by one, from the invincible enemy, death, which destroys all cultures.

However, Jesus was a Jew. What part of Jesus saves us? His tradition?

Paul discovered that what in Jesus saves us is his love, his inner choice, his act, his heart…

His act of love gives meaning to everything else we find in him. Everything he is became gift to us. Our love for him mirrors his act: whatever we are becomes gift to him, our tradition and culture included.

So, we offer him our entire being, as our little answer to his gift to us.
