使徒們遭受迫害的原因很容易解釋。因為只有信靠耶穌才能得救，這暴露了所有文化都無法真正拯救其子民的失敗。

不幸的是，雖然他們沒有勇氣承認這一點，他們仍然將自己的文化視為神明。

That the Apostles face persecution is easy to explain. The possibility of faith in Jesus as the only way to salvation exposes the failure of all culture to really save those who belong to them.

Unfortunately, even if they do not have the courage of acknowledging it, they adore their culture as a god. Therefore, to defend their god, they persecute the gospel of Jesus.

Curiously enough, the little group of those who remain after the Apostles have left, are full of joy.

This is a mysterious yet clear witness that Jesus is God, not any culture, because He is the one who sends the Holy Spirit, the author of joy in the community of the believers.
