若望進入敞開的天門，看見寶座後，看到坐在寶座上的那一位手中拿著一本書。

這本書有七印。

只有得勝的羔羊耶穌才有能力揭開這些印記。

若望隨後看到羔羊揭開印時所發生的事。

首先，出現了四匹不同顏色的馬。

第五印揭開時，若望看見殉道者的靈魂，他們為公義禱告，以及他們所得到的回應。

第六印揭開時，若望看見了我們今天所讀到的：無數蒙揀選的人，那些被救贖、享受天主榮耀的人。

到目前為止，若望似乎只有進入了救恩史奧秘的第一層。

只有在第七印揭開時，真真的戲劇性的動作將會展開。

然而，對我們而言，只要默想那些在天主審判時，在祂的同在中，從天上參加、瞻仰審判的人就足夠了。

即使我們仍在等待第七印揭開，揭曉其真面目，我們也可以把自己視為他們光榮行列的一份子。

After John has entered the open door of Heaven and seen the Throne, he sees a book in the hands of the One who is sitting on the Throne.

The book has seven seals.

Only Jesus, the victorious Lamb, has the power of opening them.

Then John sees what happens when the Lamb open the seals.

First, there are four horses, with different colors.

At the opening of the fifth seal, John sees the souls of the martyrs, their prayer for justice, the answer they receive.

At the opening of the sixth seal, John sees what we read today: the immense crowd of the chosen ones, the ones who have been redeemed and enjoy the glory of God.

So far, it seems that John has only entered the first layer of the mystery of the history of salvation.

The drama will unfold at the opening of the seventh seal.

However, for us it is enough to contemplate those who from Heaven assist at God’s judgment, while enjoying His Presence.

We too can consider ourselves already as part of their glorious company, even if we are still awaiting what the opening of the seventh seal will reveal.
