Paul concludes the first part of the letter with a prayer of intercession and the following doxology.

He asks God to let us know the love of Jesus.

Read after the preceding sections, this prayer gives us light to understand Paul’s spiritual experience and the deep insights he received through it.

When meditating on Jesus’ love, slowly but steadily our vision of the world changes. We see everything in the light of such love, in the same way as God sees them.

The world becomes full of light, full of God’s presence and the continuous exchange of his love among all.
