In the third part of his hymn, Paul speaks of the work of the Holy Spirit.
He collects also other themes, such as the theme of eschatological inheritance, and the mention of the way through which the gentiles have come to share God’s grace, that is the preaching of the Gospel.
However, in this unit the Holy Spirit plays the central role. He is the pledge of heavenly inheritance: through the Holy Spirit we already start enjoying the communion with God, the communion that Jesus has made possible, for all.
