保祿可能暗指劇院裡一場駭人的景象：一些已被判死刑的罪犯被強迫用攻擊性武器互相殘殺，從而使他們的死亡成為一場供眾人欣賞的表演。

最後，保祿提出了他最有力的論點：格林多門徒是他的兒子。

所有其他的教師都在傳講他所賜予的生命。

我們只有一條路，只有一個方法可以將屬靈的生命傳遞給別人：那就是讓耶穌透過我們來工作。

In today’s reading, we reach the conclusion of the first topic of the First Letter to the Corinthians.

Paul explains the purpose of what he has written so far. He hopes that the disciples keep the same relationship to the doctrine they have received as the relationship the Apostles keep.

They remain “inside” the doctrine received. They suffer and even die for it. They do not use it for any advantage other than living for Jesus.

Paul may allude to a horrifying spectacle in the theaters: some offenders already condemned to death were made fight against each other with only offensive weapons, thus effectively making of their death a show to be enjoyed by the crowds,

Then, at the end, Paul uses his most compelling argument: the Corinthian disciples are his sons. All other teachers work on the life he has given them. There is only one way, only one method by which we can give spiritual life to others: by letting Jesus work through us.
