今天的經文講述了上主與以色列百姓之間的一場對話，或者更確切地說，是一場法律上的爭論。

山巒和整個自然界都是見證人，它們的任務是幫助上主讓祂的子民認識自己的罪。

的確，他們立刻接受了上主的指控，並詢問他們該如何做才能在控告者——上主面前證明自己的清白。

答案既簡單又感人：除了秉公行義，上主也要求以色列人謙卑地與祂同行。

這個答案將舊約與新約連結起來。與我們同在上主，與耶穌同在，對我們而言就是體驗天堂。

In today’s reading we have a dialogue, or better a legal dispute between God and the people of Israel.

Mountains and the whole nature are the witnesses, their task is to help the Lord to convince his people that they have sinned.

Indeed, they accept immediately the charge of God and ask about what they need to do to be justified in front of the accuser, God.

The answer is simple and moving: besides doing justice, God asks Israel to walk humbly with Him.

This answer connects the Old Testament with the New Testament. To live in the presence of God, of Jesus, is for us a taste of Heaven.
