保祿藉著在會堂演講的機會，宣告耶穌應驗了天主的應許。

首先，保祿簡單地敘述了天主為祂的子民所做的一切，以及祂如何興起一些重要人物來實現祂的計劃。因此，天主興起耶穌作為祂最終的救主也就不足為奇了。  

耶穌的歷史根植於一個與我們不同的民族。

然而，透過福音，耶穌也進入了我們個人的歷史：首先是好消息，然後是我們尋求解決人生重大問題的答案的可能性。

耶穌就在我們面前，祂希望我們在當下的生命中接受祂的邀請。如此，祂進入了我們的歷史，我們也進入了祂的歷史。

Paul takes advantage of the invitation to speak in the synagogue and announces Jesus as the fulfilment of God’s promises.

First, Paul narrates in brief what God did for his people, how he raised some important men to fulfil his plan. No wonder, then, that God could raise Jesus as his definitive savior.

Jesus is rooted in a history that belongs to a people different from ours. However, through the gospel, Jesus enters our personal history too: first as good news, then as the possibility of finding the answer we were looking to solve our greatest problems.

Jesus is in front of us and hopes we accept our offer, in the present moment of our lives. In this way, He enters our history, we enter his history.
