掌權者面臨一個巨大的難題：他們迫切需要撇清一切可能的罪責。

因此，他們需要控制媒體。宗徒們的聲音出乎意料地讓他們感到恐懼。

他們究竟在恐懼什麼？

宗徒們早已為他們開脫：「你們和你們的領袖這樣做，是出於無知。」

他們拼命想要壓制宗徒，卻反而證明了他們並非出於無知，而是他們所做的出於仇恨。

最終，正如宗徒們所說，一切事都關乎服從：你服從誰？

這些領袖們表明，他們服從的是撒殫。

如果他們能像宗徒們建議的那樣服從天主，並真誠地懺悔自己的錯誤，那該有多明智。

畢竟，每個人費了九牛二虎之力為獲得權力和金錢之後，都渴望獲得安息。

但是，撒殫又能提供怎樣的安息呢？

Those in power have a great problem: they desperately need to avert from themselves any possible accusation of wrongdoing. Therefore, they need to control the media. The apostles are the unexpected voice that makes them fear.

Fear of what? The apostles had already excused them: “You did this, together with your leaders, out of ignorance.”

By their desperate attempt to silence the apostles, they provide the proof, against themselves, that they did not act out of ignorance but out of hate.

In the end, as the apostles said, it is a matter of obedience: whom do you obey? Those leaders demonstrate that they obey Satan. It would have been cleverer if they had obeyed God, as the apostles suggested, and honestly repented of their mistakes. After all, everybody seeks his own rest, after so much effort to get power and money. Which rest would Satan possibly offer?
