在第一封信的開頭祝福中，聖伯多祿談到了天主對我們的作為：

藉著耶穌的復活，天主使我們重生，賜給我們天國的新希望。

如今，在天國，祂為我們預備了我們所希望的產業；在地上，祂眷顧我們，保護我們，使我們得享永生。

伯多祿也談到了我們自身：即使需要經歷一些考驗，我們依然喜樂。

這些考驗是為了我們的榮耀。

如今，我們喜樂的泉源是我們對耶穌的愛和對祂的信德，同時我們也在等待救恩的到來，我們等待耶穌完全的啟示。

如果我們學習，透過各種跡象，如何看透耶穌復活的臨在，無論何時何地，我們就能從喜樂走向喜樂。

In the initial blessing of his First Letter, Saint Peter speaks of God’s actions towards us: through the Resurrection of Jesus, He has reborn us, He has given us a new hope in Heaven. Now, in Heaven, He keeps this hope ready for us; on the earth, he takes care of us and protects us, in view of eternal salvation.

Peter speaks also of our part: we rejoice, even if we need to go through some trials. These trials are meant for our glory. Now, source of our joy is our love for Jesus and our faith in Him, while we await our salvation, the full revelation of Jesus.

If we learn to “see” the presence of Jesus’ resurrection through all kinds of signs, every time and everywhere, we go from joy into joy.
