我們早已熟知聖經所記載的奇蹟，耶穌所行的奇蹟，以及使徒們所行的奇蹟。

今天，我們可以注意到兩個細節：伯多祿和若望常在一起：他們一起行走，一起去聖殿禱告，甚至一起與乞丐交談。

或許，這正是他們行奇蹟的秘訣之一。這也是教會的奧秘：我們的共融是第一個神蹟，也是其他一切神蹟發生的前提。

第二個細節是，耶穌的第一批門徒並沒有反對耶路撒冷聖殿。在他們看來，耶穌死後，聖殿仍然是所有民族禱告的場所。耶穌死後，聖殿不再需要獻祭。然而，聖殿作為所有人禱告和合一的場所，仍然至關重要。

We are accustomed to the miracles that Holy Scripture narrates, those Jesus performed and those the Apostles performed.

Today we can notice two details: Peter and John are together: they walk together, they go together to the prayer in the Temple, they even talk together to the beggar.

Perhaps, that was one of the secrets that helped them to perform the miracle. That is the secret of the Church: our communion is the first miracle and a condition for all the other miracles.

The second detail is that the first disciples of Jesus did non oppose the Temple of Jerusalem. After Jesus it still kept, in their eyes, the function of being house of prayer for all peoples. Temple sacrifices were not necessary anymore, after the death of Jesus. However, the Temple was still important as a place of prayer and of unity for all.
